The safety of our patrons, staff and horses is of the utmost priority for Keeneland. Please review the information below to familiarize yourself with Keeneland's safety guidelines and protocols.
Keeneland's Operations Currently Limited
Keeneland is currently operating on a limited basis at this time due to COVID-19. Please review below for details on entry to our grounds during the Summer Meet at Keeneland:
- During the Summer Meet (July 8-12), access to the grounds is limited to those directly responsible for the care of the horses in Keeneland's barn area and a limited number of participating owners to attend on the day their horse is running. Spectators will not be permitted. For details on horseman access, please click here.
In order to enter the Keeneland grounds at this time, you must:
Enter through Gates 2 and 3 or the Rice Road barn entrance, where you will complete a temperature check. Only those with a temperature less than 100.5 degrees and showing no symptoms of COVID-19 will be granted access. Persons permitted to enter will receive an armband granting access for only that day.
Wear a mask covering your face at all times during your stay at Keeneland.
Outside of the Summer Meet, the following operations will remain limited until further notice:
Keeneland’s General Office is closed
Tour operations, including visits from outside tour companies remain closed
The Keeneland Library is closed to patrons, and will open on August 3rd.
The Red Mile is open for simulcasting
The Track Kitchen will extend closing hours to 6 p.m. to service the needs of our backside
Thank you for your understanding as Keeneland, the State of Kentucky and the U.S. government work together to do everything in our power to keep our community healthy and safe as the situation continues to evolve.
In the event of an emergency, please be aware of Keeneland's evacuation guidelines for exiting the plant.
